Hi, everyone! My name is Johanna, and I am a junior neuroscience (CLA) major with a minor in computer science. I plan on pursuing a Ph.D. after graduating! I joined Grey Matters because I want to make neuroscience research accessible for everyone, especially those who might not have a scientific background. Currently, I work in the Temple Infant and Child Lab, where I study episodic memory and white matter. In my free time, I love to travel, hang out with my friends, and thrift!

MANSI SHAH, PhD ||
Club Advisor
I am an assistant professor of instruction in the Neuroscience program within the Department of Psychology. My passion has always been education and teaching, which is what led me to Temple University. The importance of science communication is often not emphasized within academics, and we tend to focus on just communicating to our peers. I believe Grey Matters will be an excellent bridge between Temple students in the sciences and the public at large, and I anticipate this journal producing exceptional pieces of scientific writing. When I am not teaching or serving as faculty advisor, I enjoy reading (Sci-Fi), biking, and generally being active outdoors.
